Creating a futuristic environment in Blender 3D

social_media_taylor-02.jpg

Please join aabijijiwan New Media Lab for an online workshop on creating an abstract 3D illustration/animation using Blender led by artist Taylor McArthur. This workshop will focus primarily on composition rather than 3D modelling. Taylor will also cover:

·      The node shader

·      Post processing

·      Rendering out an image and/or short animation

Before you can start learning Blender you need some important information to get yourself prepared for the workshop:

Download Blender
Download and install Blender on your computer. Please install and test the program out to make sure it runs smoothly. Blender Download: https://www.blender.org/download/

Use a Mouse
If you are using a laptop for this workshop it’s best to use a mouse rather than the trackpad on the laptop. It can become very frustrating with a trackpad quickly and using a mouse is a lot easier with 3D software programs.

This workshop has a capacity of 18 participants. We kindly ask that you only register if you are certain you can attend. If you register and are no longer able to attend, please let us know via email so we can give your spot to someone else. Please email us if you would like to be put on the waitlist.

Please note that this workshop will be recorded.
